Juxtaposition | of old and new, tradition and progression as seen in the architecture of the Imperial Palace, the Louvre, and the British Museum Vs. contrasts lines and ideologies of two different eras throughout to create an aesthetic of balance between opposites. This is achieved by setting clean, sleek, contemporary lines against fluid, traditional elements that reference the past. This concept is additionally highlighted by the purposely mismatched use of cold materials such as polished marble and stainless steel with the warmth of wood as brought in by “old world” accent pieces in conjunction with a white color palette that provides a spotless background for the vibrant and colorful art.In Collaboration with Elizabeth Christofferson and Marianne Fiallo
